Seminar & Exhibition on “To Smoke or Not to Smoke”

A group of MBBS 3rd year students led by Abdul Rahman organized a seminar and exhibition on “To Smoke or Not to Smoke” at Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences of Isra University Hyderabad-Sindh on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Prof. Dr. Asadullah Kazi, Vice Chancellor – Isra University was the chief guest of the event. On this occasion, Dr. Abdul Ghani Kazi – Director Isra University Hospital, Prof. Feroz Memon (Cardiology) and students Abdul Rahman and Fahad Jabbar Laghari talked on health hazards associated with smoking, how to quit smoking?, Islamic perspective of smoking as well as non medical perspective of the smoking. Meanwhile, exhibition included many wonderful pictures and posters relating to smoking and its effects on health. Projector videos were used to display the pictures and posters. Safee Faraz, an student compared the event.
